Open call in Indy set for ‘Shark Tank’ hopefuls

INDIANAPOLIS (WPTA21) – Producers and scouts from ABC’s long-running prime time show “Shark Tank” will be in Indianapolis meeting in July, meeting with those hoping to make their pitch in front of the program’s celebrity panel.

Season 11 of the entrepreneur-centered show will air on ABC21 on Sunday nights this fall.

The Indianapolis event is the last “open call” before production begins.

“We are very excited to be heading to Indianapolis for our last open call of Season 11 of ‘Shark Tank,’” Supervising Casting Producer Mindy Zemrak said in a statement. “The ‘Shark Tank’ casting team loves heading to the Midwest for our open calls, and this will be our only one this season.”

The screening event takes place July 16 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Gates open at 6 a.m. Wristbands will be distributed starting at 9 a.m. Interviews will begin at 10 a.m.

Attendees are encouraged to complete an online application form and bring it with them to the open call. Forms can be found at
