FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — A major construction project at Rudisill and Broadway will cause traffic issues starting Monday.
For the next ten months, city utilities will be working on the sewer there to prevent overflow from being dumped into the Saint Marys River.
According to the city, an average of 392 million gallons of combined sewage is dumped into the St. Marys at this location, each year.
Detour signs are posted in the area, and city officials have shared two detour maps, one for those who live in the area near Foster park and another for thru traffic.
Foster Park will remain open, but you can only access it from the south.
