FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — As classes resume for Fort Wayne Community Schools, students will see a lot of changes since the last school year.

Among the changes are new floors, classrooms and lockers at Lane Middle School. Northrop High School also got a facelift over the summer. Darren Hess, Facilities Director for Fort Wayne Community Schools says they are looking to renovate what they have, giving it a modern look.

The high school got air conditioning installed for the entire building as well as an upgrade to the front of the building, adding additional security.

Work will continue at Northrop during the school year. The modular units should go away by Summer 2020.
