Erin’s House celebrating newly renovated hospital room

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — A Fort Wayne organization is re-opening a room that helps play a vital role in grief support.

Erin’s House for Grieving Children uses the “Hospital Room” to help children that had a loved one die in a hospital. The organization said they use the room to give children the space to play and role-play allowing them to associate positive emotions to hospitals.

The organization said their room needed updated equipment, including an electric bed, which Parkview donated.

Board members and officials will be in attendance to welcome the new room and thank donors. Doors open up at 8:45 Wednesday morning.
