Community invited to free Labor Day picnic

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — A yearly favorite is back at Headwaters Park, as local labor unions hold the annual Labor Day picnic.

The free event celebrates all working people. Volunteers will be giving out free kettle-made chili, grilled hot dogs, chip, traditional Mexican and Burmese foods as well as pop, water, and beer.

The event will also feature bingo, performances by the union Fort Wayne Philharmonic musicians, kid-friendly activities, splash pad, and information tables for unions and community organizations.

The picnic is taking place on Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
