Residents invited to ‘be a tourist in your hometown’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — If you’re still looking for plans for the weekend it will be the perfect time to be a tourist in your hometown.

Visit Fort Wayne will host an event for residents to tour some of Fort Wayne’s best attractions for free. “Be a tourist in your own hometown” is the day when Fort Wayne residents get free admission to 16 of Fort Wayne’s museums and attractions.

Passports will be available at Old National Bank and Kroger locations. People can also go to visitfortwayne.com/beatourist to print a one-page passport and get more information.

  • the Diocesean Museum
  • the Embassy Theatre
  • the Botanical Conservatory
  • the History Center
  • the Karpeles Manuscript Museum
  • The Landing
  • Lincoln Tower
  • Little River Wetlands
  • the Old Fort
  • Parkview Field
  • Riverfront Fort Wayne
  • Science Central
  • the Visitors Center.
