National convention coming to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — A national convention is coming to Fort Wayne Sunday, bringing the event to Indiana for the first time.

The National Association of County Agricultural Agents annual meeting and professional improvement conference is taking place starting Sunday.

This event brings together extension educators and other professionals to discuss agriculture, horticulture, forestry and natural resources, 4-H youth development, community development, administration, aquaculture and Sea Grant, and related disciplines.

The event is anticipated to bring an estimated 900 people to town. Visit Fort Wayne estimates it will bring more than $1 million in spending to Fort Wayne over the 5-day event.
