Ivy Tech to open student-run bakery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Students in Ivy Tech Fort Wayne’s Hospitality Administration program are getting some hands-on experience.

Students will operate a student-run bakery starting September 10. In the bakery, students will sell baked goods and serve as bakery manager for one week.

The establishment, called The Bakery at Kelty’s Kafé, will be located at Anthony Commons. This is at 3800 N. Anthony Blvd.

The bakery will offer signature cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins, bread, yogurt cups, fresh fruit cups, coffee from Old Crown Coffee Roasters. This year, espresso and lattes make the menu.

The bakery will be open Tuesdays from 9 am until 12:30 pm through October 8.
