POLICE: Silver Alert canceled for local teen, found in New York

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – UPDATE: Police have canceled the Silver Alert issued for a missing 17-year-old from Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne Police Department’s Public Information Officer Sofia Rosales-Scatena said FWPD worked with several law enforcement agencies to locate Vivian Ziko.

Rosales-Scatena said the girl was found in New York by Port Authority.

“We take these alerts seriously and do everything we can,” Rosales-Scatena said in a statement. “The timeliness of the calls help immensely. We are always happy when we can find someone safe. Again thanks for all your help.”

Indiana State Police issued a statewide Silver Alert in the disappearance of a Fort Wayne teenager this weekend.

Vivian Alexis Ziko, 17, was last seen leaving her home on foot in the 5400 block of Maplecrest Road around Noon Saturday.

Vivian is approximately 5’2” tall, weighs approximately 102 pounds, and has long brown hair.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans with a yellow and gray-colored striped shirt.

Vivian is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical help.
