DECATUR, Ind. (WPTA21) – A full Northern Wells Community Schools bus carrying high school students was involved in a crash Wednesday morning.

Just after 9 a.m., a bus and a vehicle crashed at the intersection of US 224 W and US 27/33 N.

The Decatur Police Department said about 40 students and the bus driver had no major life-threatening injuries, but safety protocol requires everyone to be taken to the hospital to get checked out.

By 11:30 a.m., most students were released back to their parents or taken back to school.

The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Yesterday in Noble County, a school bus carrying 31 students overturned into an embankment.
