WARSAW, Ind. (WPTA21) – A 46-year-old Silver Lake man is accused of making two bomb threats at a local high school so he could rob an area business.
Mark A. Schultz is charged with intimidation and was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail for the alleged crime.
Warsaw Police said on Sept. 18 and Sept 27, someone called Warsaw Community High School to report a bomb threat.
Authorities rushed to the area but found those threats to be unsubstantiated.
On Nov. 7, detectives spoke with Schultz as a person of interest in the case.
Investigators said Schultz admitted to making the false calls so he could rob a local business.
Schultz never got the chance to commit a robbery, and instead is now facing charges for those calls.
Police say he’s being held on a 48-hour prosecutor investigative hold.
Additional charges are expected to come from this case.
