Report: Bears looking at former Colts coach Pagano as defensive coordinator

CHICAGO (WPTA21) – The Chicago Bears are considering former Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano as they seek a new defensive coordinator, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Pagano was fired after the 2017 season, in which the Colts went 4-12 without star quarterback Andrew Luck available.

He has been considered a possible candidate for several open head coaching positions, but Brad Biggs of the Tribune noted on Friday that Pagano may instead return to the league in a coordinator’s role.

The Bears must replace Vic Fangio, who left the team to take the head coaching position in Denver.
