DeKalb grad Brown leads Nebraska women over Purdue

LINCOLN, Neb. (ABC21) – DeKalb grad Leigha Brown, a true freshman, hit Purdue with a career high 30 points to lead a 67-61 win for Nebraska over the Boilermaker women on Sunday.

Brown, entering the game averaging under ten points, hit 13 of her 30 points in a fourth quarter rally the keyed the come from behind win.

The 2018 ABC21 Girls Basketball Player of the Year also had a career high with four three pointers.

Karissa McLaughlin, the 2017 ABC21 Player of the year at Homestead, had 13 points for Purdue.
