PFW women routed at Summit League Tournament

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Purdue Fort Wayne women’s basketball team saw their 2018-19 season come to a close on Saturday at the Summit League Tournament.

The No. 8 seeded Mastodons fell to No. 1 seed South Dakota State 88-50. The ‘Dons finish their season with a 7-22 record.

Hannah Albrecht led the Mastodons with 14 points on the afternoon. Playing in her final game as a Mastodon, De’Jour Young earned a double-double, the fourth of the season, finishing with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Young ends her career 14th on Purdue Fort Wayne’s all-time scoring list with 1,197 points.

The Mastodons finished the game shooting 19-of-56 (33.9%) from the field, 5-of-21 (23.8%) beyond the arc, and 7-of-9 (77.8%) at the free throw line.
