Homestead wins girls track regional, Northrop’s Brown stars in sprints

MARION, Ind. (WPTA21) — Homestead claimed a girls track and field regional championship on a chilly Tuesday evening at Indiana Wesleyan University.

The Spartans finished with a team score of 112 points to win the meet, with Northrop finishing second (94).

Northrop’s Tionna Brown picked up a couple huge wins, finishing first in the 100 and 200 meter races.

Britnee James racked up a lot of points for Homestead in the field events, winning in the shot put and discus.
