Concordia boys, Carroll girls roll to cross country regional titles

L;IGONIER, Ind. (WPTA21) – The top ranked Concordia boys and top ranked Carroll girls were the team winners at Saturday’s West Noble cross country regional.

Led by the winning effort of Reece Gibson, the Concordia boys posted a team score of 36 points for the boys title.

Homestead with 74, West Noble with 75, Westview with 115, and Columbia City with 123 got the rest of the top five finishes and thus advance to semi-state at the Plex next week.

Gibson’s winning time was 15:45.9.

The Carroll girls placed all of their runners in the top ten to win that title with 34 points.

Bishop Dwenger with 72, Homestead with 75, Concordia with 87, and DeKalb with 147 advance as teams to semi-state.

Bishop Dwenger’s Erin Strzelecki won the girls race at 17:37.1
