Komets can’t overcome slow start at Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (WPTA21) – After five minutes on the ice, the Komets faced an 0-2 deficit.

Fort Wayne couldn’t rally after their slow star, as the Walleye held on to beat the Komets 2-1.

TJ Hensick scored the first goal at the 1:51 mark of the first period, off a nice feed from Greg Wolfe. About three minutes later, Wolfe added the second goal for the fish.

Garrett Ladd got Fort Wayne on the board in the second, but the Komets couldn’t add another score after that.

The Komets return home on Thanksgiving Night to host Brampton.
