Komets rally falls short in loss to Brampton

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – The Komets saw a big third period rally fall short in a 4-3 New Year’s eve loss to the Brampton Beast Monday night.

Brampton scored three times in the first period, and led 4-0 going into the third period.

That’s when Anthony Petruzzelli ignited a rally, scoring twice in two minutes, and Justin Hodgman got the Komets within a goal with less than five minutes remaining.

The K’s had chances to tie it with a power play advantage for the final three and a half minutes of the game, but could not get the job done.
