FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — It took a while for the TinCaps offense to wake up, but they made their swings count.

Dwanya Williams-Sutton ended the night with a walk-off hit to center field, driving in Xavier Edwards for a 5-4 TinCaps win.

The TinCaps didn’t score until the eighth inning, when Luis Almanzar put them up 4-2 with a grand slam.

Dayton got a two-run homer in the top of the ninth, courtesy of Bren Spillane, tying things up 4-4, and setting the table for Williams-Sutton’s heroics.

Angel Acevedo started on the mound, and got a no-decision, allowing two runs over five innings. Jose Quezada (2-0) gets credited with the win, and a blown save, after allowing the home run to Spillane before recording the final outs of the top of the ninth.
