TinCaps shutout in first game at Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WPTA21) — The TinCaps scattered four hits, but couldn’t score on Monday, falling 4-0 in a series opener at Dayton.

This loss comes after the ‘Caps swept the Dragons in a four-game set at Parkview Field last week.

Angel Acevedo (0-1) started for Fort Wayne, allowing a pair of runs in the first inning. He kept the Dragons off the scoreboard after that, going six total innings, allowing four hits, no walks, and striking out seven.

The TinCaps and Dragons continue their series with a 7pm start on Tuesday night.
