TinCaps drop to 1-4 in second half

FORT WAYNE, Ind, (WPTA21) –  The South Bend Cubs pounded out 10 runs on 18 hits on their way to a 10-4 victory over the TinCaps on Monday night. 

South Bend opened the scoring with four runs in the top of the first. Chris Morel and Cole Roederer both smacked RBI doubles in the inning, while two more runs came home via Fort Wayne errors.

The Cubs tacked on insurance with two runs in the sixth inning, two runs in the seventh, and two more runs in the ninth.

The TinCaps scored twice eighth on a Michael Curry home run and a Tucupita Marcano RBI single.  

Fort Wayne also scored two runs in the ninth via a Curry single and a Luis Almanzar sacrifice fly.
