FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Dwight Schrute jerseys didn’t help the TinCaps ‘beet’ the South Bend Cubs on Friday night.

South Bend finished the four-game series with a 8-1 win over the TinCaps on ‘The Office’ night at Parkview Field.

Lee Solomon sent a ball out of the ballpark quicker than you could kick Pam Beasley out of a Chili’s, giving the TinCaps a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second.

The Cubs, however, were ready to hurt Sam Keating again, and again, and again. Starting with a five-run rally in the third, South Bend tallied seven runs off the TinCaps starter, chasing him out of the game in the seventh.

The TinCaps will try not to stutter, and bounce back with a win Saturday night, when they open up a three-game series against Great Lakes.
