CLEVELAND (WPTA21) — Indiana Tech baseball got to celebrate a very cool accomplishment for one of its former players on Monday night.
Derek Morgan, a 2015 Indiana Tech graduate, served as Pete Alonso’s pitcher Monday night in the MLB Home Run Derby, and the duo ended the tournament as champions.

Morgan, Alonso’s cousin, spent three years with the Warriors program, after transferring over from St. Bonaventure.
Alonso, a rookie first baseman for the Mets, defeated Toronto’s Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 23-22 in the final round.
