Skender paces TinCaps past Dayton

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – The TinCaps beat the Dayton Dragons 7-1, at Parkview Field on Sunday afternoon behind three hits and three RBIs from third baseman Ethan Skender..

Skender hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the second inning against Dragons starter Jhon De Jesus to make it 3-0. It was Skender’s first homer as a TinCap, and as a pro, after joining the team two weeks ago. He added an RBI single in the fourth, and also singled in the eighth.

Before Skender’s homer, Justin Lopez gave the ‘Caps a 1-0 lead earlier in the second with an RBI double.

Fort Wayne added three more runs in the fourth and another in the fifth to build a 7-0 advantage.
