TinCaps pull away in sixth inning, beat Dragons again

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Another series victory for the TinCaps.

The ‘Caps defended Parkview Field Thursday night, beating the Dragons 6-2.

Fort Wayne jumped out to a quick lead, with an RBI single form Michael Curry in the first, and a solo home run form Lee Solomon in the second.

The Dragons burned through that TinCaps lead in the fourth, scoring two runs on RBI hits from Jay Schuyler and Mariel Bautista.

The TinCaps then rallied with four runs in the sixth, aided by a pair of Dayton errors.

Efraín Contreras delivered a nice start, going five innings, and allowing just two runs. He collected eight strikeouts along the way.

Jose Quezada (W, 6-2) picked up another win in relief, tossing scoreless frames in the sixth and seventh innings.
