Coate knee injury ends his CFL season

OTTAWA, Ont. (WPTA21) – Former Saint Francis star receiver Seth Coate has seen his Canadian Football League season with the Ottawa Redblacks ended with a knee injury.

Coate tore the medial collateral ligament and meniscus in his right knee after making a catch against Montreal on July 13th and underwent surgery in Canada a few weeks ago,

With his season over, the Redblacks allowed Coate to return home to Fort Wayne to rehabilitate the injury, which he did this week.

Coate plans to be ready to return for the 2020 season.
