Dana can’t escape first inning, TinCaps lose big to South Bend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Cullen Dana’s going to want to forget this one.

The TinCaps starter had a brief, rocky outing on Wednesday, as the TinCaps fell 13-4 to the South Bend Cubs.

Dana (L, 2-4) gave up six runs (five earned) and left after recording just two outs. He allowed four hits, three walks, and one hit batsman.

The TinCaps offense stayed relatively quiet throughout the night, despite collecting ten hits. Justin Lopez provided the biggest spark, with a three-run homer in the sixth inning.

The TinCaps and Cubs continue their series Thursday night at Parkview Field.
