Mad Ants reacquire rights to Lemon Jr.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — One of the best scorers the Mad Ants have ever had will likely return this season.

Wednesday the team announced a trade with Windy City Bulls. The Mad Ants receive the returning player rights to Walt Lemon Jr., and a second round pick in 2020. In exchange, the Bulls get the Mad Ants first round pick in this year’s draft (10 overall) and Fort Wayne’s first round pick in 2020.

Lemon Jr. has played 97 career games with the Mad Ants, starting in the 2015-16 season. He’s eight in franchise history with 1,528 career points.

Lemon Jr. has some NBA experience as well, and had recently signed with the Pacers, but was waived by Indiana on Wednesday.
