Komets notch first road win of season

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WPTA21) – Two goal by A.J. Jenks led the Komets to a 6-2 win at Kalamazoo Friday night, giving the K’s their first road win of the season after three losses on foreign ice.

Chase Stewart and Mason Bergh got the K’s in front with first period goals, and then Jenks netted both of his scores in the second period for a 4-1 lead.  Before the period was over, Brady Shaw had stretched the lead to 5-1 with his goal.

Jason Binkley’s empty net score late was the icing on the cake.

Matthew Villalta stopped 29 of 31 shots in goal.
