THE SCORE: Dwenger wins 4A title in quadruple overtime classic

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – Four quarters, four overtime periods, and a 4A state title.

Bishop Dwenger beat Evansville Central 16-10 in an instant classic, winning a state title in quadruple overtime.

TJ Tippmann blocked a potential game-winning field goal on the final play of regulation, and scored both of Dwenger’s overtime touchdowns.

The Saints won their fifth title, and the first for new head coach Jason Garrett.

In girls basketball, Bishop Luers won at Columbia City 56-50, and Blackhawk defeated North SIde 48-46.
