Sims for the Win: New Komet delivers game-ending goal in shootout

CINCINNATI (WPTA21) – The Komets stretched their winning streak to four games with a thrilling, come-from-behind, shootout win at Cincinnati.

After seven scoreless rounds of the shootout Cincinnati missed an eighth attempt. That opened the door for Fort Wayne’s newest player, Jordan Sims. Sims, the son of former Komets head coach Al Sims, sent in the deciding goal, for a 4-3 Fort Wayne win.

The Komets trailed 3-1 heading into the third period, before goals from J.C. Campagna and Justin Hodgman tied things 3-3. Chase Stewart scored the Komets first goal.
