Some of the most impressive student-athletes in Indiana gathered at the Mirro Center Tuesday night for the Northeast Indiana Football and Volleyball Awards, an event co-sponsored by the Journal Gazette and Parkview Sports Medicine.
Central Noble basketball star Meleah Leatherman has signed her letter of intent to continue her playing career at the University of Saint Francis.
Leatherman is Central Noble’s all-time leader in rebounds and blocks, and sits at second in all-time scoring midway through her senior season.
Bishop Dwenger Freshman, Maddie Peters, and Snider Sophomore, Cali Prochaska are both headed to the National Paralympic National Championships in Tucson, Arizona this week.
Maggie has been legally blind since her premature birth, and Cali has been missing part of her left leg since birth, but neither of the girls let that stop them from doing what they love.
