Leo slugger Ashley Miller played small ball on Thursday, driving in the go-ahead run for Leo with a squeeze bunt in the top of the seventh. That play ended up being the difference, as Leo defeated East Noble 4-3. That win locked up a sixth-consecutive softball sectional title for the Lions.

Carroll beat Homestead for the girls regional tennis title on Wednesday
Homestead claimed a girls track and field regional championship on a chilly Tuesday evening at Indiana Wesleyan University.
It’s come down to another tennis battle between Homestead and Carroll. The Spartans and Chargers will face-off for a regional crown, after both teams won in the semifinals at Carroll on Tuesday.
Ashlyn Bixby capped off the day for the Northrop offense with a two-run homer in the top of the seventh, as the Bruins beat DeKalb 13-9 in the first game of the Carroll sectional.
Both Homestead and Bishop Dwenger built some momentum for the postseason on Saturday.
Carroll won every matchup on Friday against Snider, earning another girls tennis sectional championship.
