Blackhawk Christian’s volleyball team picked up another victory Monday night, winning at home against Canterbury 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-14). Snider battled throughout the night, but visiting Woodlan also won 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-20).
Homestead had a huge night offensively, as the Lady Spartans defeated Bishop Luers 9-0 at Pat Teagarden Field. Freshman Mary McArdle led the way with three goals, while fellow freshman Sophia White had two more.
Gabriel Arias delivered five of the TinCaps 18 hits on Monday, helping Fort Wayne end its series at South Bend with a 15-5 win. Arias completed the cycle with a triple in the top of the ninth, after belting a two-run homer in the fourth.
