FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Shawn Szydlowski’s staying put.
Monday the Komets announced a new contract with the former ECHL MVP, which will bring Szydlowski back for his seventh season in Fort Wayne.
Szydlowski’s the only one of the team’s four ‘veteran’ players returning next season, after the departures of Justin Hodgman, Jamie Schaafsma, and Cody Sol.
Szydlowski won the ECHL MVP for the 2017-18 season, after leading the league in scoring. In his Komets career, Szydlowski has racked up 174 goals and 266 assists over 423 games.
