TinCaps’ season ends with loss to Lansing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) –  The 2019 season ended for the TinCaps on Monday with a 3-1 loss to Lansing at Parkview Field.

The ‘Caps lost despite a solid effort on the mound from Efrain Contreras, who fanned nine batters in six innings of work and allowed just two runs.

The Lugnuts had just seven hits, but three of them were solo home runs, accounting for all their scoring

The TinCaps’ lone run came in the fifth inning on back to back to back singles by Justin Lopez, Agustin Ruiz, and Ethan Skender.

Fort Wayne finished 29-41 in the second half of the season and 62-76 overall.
