80º weather to continue through at least Friday

What a difference a day makes! Highs soared into the upper 80s and low 90s area wide, which is a far cry from the mid to upper 70s from yesterday.

Wednesday and Thursday will feature similar weather with partly sunny skies and highs in the 80s, though a few pop-up showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon. The heat index will also rise, making it feel like the low 90s each day.

A cold front is expected to sweep through the Midwest Friday, however, so scattered storms and heat will be expected leading up to its passage, but behind the front cooler and drier weather will move in.
