One more bitterly cold night before major warm up

The worst of the bitterly cold wind chills is thankfully behind us, but that doesn’t mean the cold air won’t be an issue for a little while longer.

Tonight’s low temperature will drop to between -15º and -10º with wind chills between -30º and -20º, but Thursday will be gradually warmer with highs back into the single digits by the afternoon. A quick clipper system will sweep through the area Thursday night (mainly after 8 pm), bringing warmer weather with it, but also a bit of snow. Most areas will see a quick 1-3″ of accumulation by the Friday morning commute.

And then there’s the weekend! Highs are expected to soar back into the 50s as soon as Sunday.

Can’t come soon enough! 🙂
