Winds of 5-7 mph this morning are producing winds chills near zero. Fortunately those winds will become relatively calm as the day goes on, so wind chills may not be much of a factor. Lake effect clouds have been overspreading some of us thus far but those will dissipate before the afternoon. The clearing skies and calmer winds are a product of high pressure moving overtop the region.
Highs will only reach the mid-20s today, even with the sun. Cloud cover will return tonight, and tomorrow some snow will return. The snow will hold off until the afternoon and should mainly be light snow showers. Accumulations will be generally be less than an inch. That won’t be the last we see of snowy weather this week though. More on the extended forecast tonight at 6.
