Some scattered showers and storms moved through the area this morning, but conditions remained dry through the afternoon. Most should continue to experience dry conditions tonight, with mostly cloudy skies expected. However, an isolated shower or storm cannot be ruled out northwest of Fort Wayne. Temperatures will fall into the mid-60’s, resulting in a mild evening overall.
Tomorrow morning will start out partly sunny, but storm chances arrive in the afternoon. A few storms could be strong to severe, with hail and strong winds (45-60 mph) the primary threats through the early evening hours. Temperatures will rise into the lower-80’s, which is above average for this time of year. Additional scattered storms will persist late Saturday night into Sunday. The severe chance is low with these storms, although rain will be more widespread in coverage during the day on Sunday.
More scattered storms are possible for Memorial Day, but it is still too early to determine whether we will see any severe weather. Stay tuned as we fine-tune this weekend’s forecast and the outlook for Memorial Day!
