Sharply colder Thursday

A strong system that originated from Canada is expected to sweep through Indiana and Ohio Thursday, bringing gusty wind, rain, and unseasonably cold temperatures to the region.

Sustained wind speeds of 25 mph or more could make it feel anywhere between 44 and 49º across much of Northern Indiana and Northwest Ohio, with actual air temperatures only making it into the upper 50s to low 60s by Thursday afternoon. Rainfall amounts will also be highly variable, with many locations west of Fort Wayne receiving 0.10-0.20″ of rain, whereas portions of far eastern Indiana and Northwest Ohio could see half an inch or more.

This weather system is expected to exit to our east late Thursday, providing us with more sunshine and warmer temperatures by Friday afternoon.

Stay warm Thursday! (I wish I didn’t need to say that in mid June!)
